Choose the next The Glowing Stars cover!

Since we’re retiring our cover of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now,” we wanted to transform another song into an awesome musical chipsplosion. But this time, we’re going to leave it up to you to choose a song. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and nominate a song. The most popular choices will be added to a poll later on (unless it really seriously sucks and you guys are trolling), along with Lizzie’s and Matt’s own suggestions, and you’ll be able to vote on the final song. So, what are you waiting for? Let the nominations begin! (This also helps keep Lizzie and Matt from arguing over a song ;)).

  1. I said the first one on Twitter but not sure if it was rejected already:

    Empty by Metric

    Electioneering by Radiohead

You’re No Rock N’ Roll Fun by Sleater Kinney

  2. If it was going to be a unicorns song i’d say sea ghost or jelly bones.

But i will suggest a cover of the Tame Impala cover of Blue Boy’s Remeber Me.
Or Legal Man by Belle and Sebastian.

  3. I would also like to nominate “Dyslexic Heart” by Westerberg, “Got My Mind Set on You” by George Harrison, “Jesus, Etc.” and “Monday” by Wilco, “Wave of Mutilation” by Pixies, and “You Won’t See Me” by the Beatles.

  4. The Rentals – These Days (or Waiting)
Buzzcocks – What Do I Get?
I think Earth Angel and 99 Red Balloons would work too, but those almost seem too easy.

The first two are my top picks, which i think would work well.

(by first two, i mean The Rentals and Buzzcocks, not necessarily the two Rentals songs)

  5. I agree with “My name is Jonas”
    I also like SerpentineZero’s suggestions

Mine is: REO Speedwagon’s “Take it on the Run”

  6. 1. Let me Kiss You by Morrisey
    2. All My Little Words by the Magnetic Fields

    3. Black Sheep by Metric
    4. We Both Go Down Together by The Decemberists

Practically anything, because you guys rule.

  7. Wow, some really weird choices here…
I gotta say “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World. It’s my least favorite JEW song (which just means I love it a little less), but goddamn the singalong potential…Any Jimmy song would be great. And I know Lizzie is a fan. Srsly.

  8. Nice post!will refer again! Here’s the real deal that you have been waiting for – no lies, no advertising intentions, just the truth. A lot of people want to know the real deal about penny auction sites.
